Regular Events


There a numerous activities which take place in the Team Ministry. Details are as follows:


'Connect' is the name we use for our study and fellowship groups, as we seek God and grow in our faith journey, together. The groups meet fortnightly during 'term time'

There are four groups:

  • Tuesday Connect - meeting at 7.30pm at 89, Victoria Road, Diss - ideal for those who work in the day.
  • Wednesday Connect - meeting at 2.00pm in St. Mary's Hall, Diss.
  • Country Connect - for those in the Team Ministry villages, meeting at 1.30pm - contact the Office for venues.
  • Thursday Connect - meeting at 2.30pm at 2, Cobbold Street, Diss.

Youth Café

From 3.15 to 5pm every Monday afternoon in term time in St Mary’s Church, Diss.  Open to children from year 6 to year 10.  Come to meet others, relax, play pool, table tennis, Wii and Xbox games, card games – drinks and tuck available from the Café.  The Café is run by Integrate Youth for Christ and St Mary’s Diss and is open to any young person in the age range who would like to come.

Edward Bear Club

Edward Bear Club is a mums and toddler group which meets weekly in term time, 9.30am - 11.00am on Tuesdays, in Saint Mary's Hall. Contact the Parish Office.


St Mary's Choir sings for all choral services. Choir Practice is on Thursday evenings at 7.15pm. New members welcome.

Bell Ringing

St Mary's Bellringers meet for practice on Monday evenings at 7.30pm. New ringers always welcome.  The Tower Captain is Mrs Betty Baines 01379 643293.

The Bells are rung prior to the 10.30am Service on Sundays and for Festival/civic services.

Mini Market

There is a mini-market selling bric-brac, books, cakes, and coffee is served, every Friday morning in St Mary's Hall from 9.30am - 12noon.  A table may be hired by charities.

Silent Prayer Group

This group meets for contemplative prayer, Tuesday evenings 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the St Mary's church (Church Hall in winter)
